reverse/curse
reverse/curse is a performance piece featuring a fictional self-help business. Clients could approach the business with personal problem, and a consultant would record a positive message addressing their problem in a constructive way onto 1/4" magnetic tape. The client would take the strand of tape home and affix it to an object reminiscent of their problem and conceptually the message would seep into the object and affect change. The documentation in this gallery is from a 2011 performance of the project.
